How We Refurbish and Certify Used Brewery Equipment

Before any used brewery equipment is offered to you, it goes through a strict refurbishment and quality control process in our factory. This helps you avoid hidden risks, reduce installation issues and put the system back into production as quickly as possible

Step 1

Initial Inspection & Evaluation

Overall check of tanks, brewhouse and auxiliaries (corrosion, welds, jackets, fittings) to decide repair scope and “as-is / refurbished” level.

Step 2

Disassembly & Deep Cleaning

Key parts are opened, then internally and externally cleaned, descaled and rinsed to restore hygienic stainless-steel surfaces.

Step 3

Mechanical & Electrical Check

Valves, pumps, motors, gearboxes and control components are tested; loose or unsafe parts are repaired or adjusted.

Step 4

Replacement of Worn Parts

Critical wear parts (seals, gaskets, valves, sight glasses, selected pumps/motors) are replaced; welds and damaged areas are reworked where needed.

Step 5

Pressure, Leak & CIP Testing

Tanks and jackets are pressure- and leak-tested; pipelines and CIP cycles are checked to ensure tightness and cleanability for brewing use.

Step 6

Final Quality Report & Packaging

We prepare a short quality summary and photo record, then securely pack the equipment for international transport and easy on-site installation.

Hygiene & Safety Testing

We perform pressure testing, weld inspection, polishing and internal acid cleaning on all key tanks and pipelines, then provide test records and photos so you clearly understand the real condition and hygiene level of each used brewery system before shipment.

Pressure Testing

Tanks, jackets and pipelines are pressure-tested to ensure no leaks and safe operation.

Weld Inspection & Repair

Key welds are inspected and reworked where needed to meet brewing hygiene and strength requirements.

Polishing & Internal Acid Cleaning

Surfaces are polished and internally acid-cleaned (passivated) to restore smooth, hygienic stainless steel.

Testing Records & Photo Report

We provide basic test records and photos so you clearly see the equipment condition before shipment.

Hybrid New & Used Brewing Solutions – Smarter Investment for Your Project

Not every project has to be 100% used or 100% new. We design hybrid new & used brewery equipment solutions that combine refurbished brewhouses, tanks and support systems with new PLC control, CIP, valves and utilities. This approach helps breweries, kombucha producers and distilleries launch or expand with lower CAPEX while keeping critical process steps modern, safe and easy to upgrade.

Tell us about your project and our engineers will design a hybrid new + used solution just for you.

Real Project Cases & On-Site Photos

Our used brewery equipment is already working in brewpubs, microbreweries and regional breweries in many countries. Below you can see real installation photos, brewhouse layouts and cellar setups, so you know exactly what to expect in your own project.

Used Brewery Equipment – FAQ for Buyers

Everything you need to know before placing your custom brewery equipment order

Yes. Even for used equipment, we provide a limited warranty on key components (such as tanks, jackets, structural parts and main pumps/motors) based on the final condition (as-is or refurbished). Warranty terms are clearly stated in the quotation and contract, and we also offer paid technical support and spare parts after the warranty period.

  • As-is: The equipment is supplied in its current working condition after basic inspection and cleaning. It is more cost-effective, suitable for buyers with strong in-house technical teams.

  • Refurbished: The equipment goes through deep cleaning, mechanical/electrical checks, replacement of worn parts, polishing, internal acid cleaning, and pressure/leak testing. You receive a more “ready-to-run” system with test records and photos.

Yes. We can re-arrange the brewhouse layout, add extra fermenters/bright tanks, and integrate new accessories such as CIP systems, pumps, grain handling or controls. Our engineering team will check your floor plan and process needs, then design a combined solution using both used and new equipment if needed.

All tanks and pipelines are internally cleaned, descaled, polished where necessary and acid-passivated. We also perform pressure and leak tests on jackets and vessels, and run CIP tests to check cleanability. For refurbished systems, we can provide photo documentation and basic test reports so you can verify the hygiene and condition before shipment.

We can provide remote commissioning support (video, online calls, documentation) and, where feasible, on-site supervision or local partner service. Our team helps with layout review, utility connection guidelines and start-up procedures. Basic operator training and brewing process guidance can also be arranged as part of the project.

As a rough guideline, a 10BBL–20HL brewhouse with cellar usually needs 70–150 m² depending on layout, tank number and ceiling height. Once you share your building drawings and capacity plan, we will propose a detailed layout with minimum required area and recommended working space.

Yes, this is very common. To control investment and performance, we often combine a used brewhouse with new fermenters, bright tanks, controls or packaging units. This helps you get a reliable core system now and leaves room for future upgrades while keeping CAPEX under control.

All equipment is professionally packed for sea freight: tanks are fixed on steel or wooden frames, wrapped and protected at connection points; small parts are packed in marked boxes. We optimize container loading to reduce damage risk and freight cost, and provide packing lists, photos and loading reports so your team can check everything during unloading and installation.
